Today we celebrated Meredith's 5th birthday at the Harry The Potter Studio with a Backyardigans themed party. Anyone who knows our child knows that she prides herself on being an artist. She loves this place because you can sit and paint ceramics for as long as you want or until mommy and daddy say that's enough. Being creative is right up her alley. She decided for her birthday that she would paint herself a cupcake jewelry box. It turned out really cute. All of her friends came and she had a blast and everyone else did too. Even Mammaw got in on the fun and painted a plate for herself. I used a new local cake shop in town and told them that I would love to have a cupcake cake made out of Uniqua's head. They did and it turned out great. They even made cookies and put various Backyardigans characters on them for party favors.
It is hard for us to believe that it has been 5 years since the day that she came into this world (5 weeks early) and changed our lives for the better. We are thankful to God everyday for this wonderful child he has blessed us with. She is such a precious gift and we are honored to be her parents.
